Multispectral technology (MS21 version)
Developed exclusively by CEIA, it is a unique metal detection technology that optimizes detection sensitivity for all metal contaminants while minimizing Product Effect across a wide range of products.
By recognizing the different frequency responses of conductive products and metals, this innovative technology cancels out product effects and maintains high performance against all types of metal contaminants, including magnetic and non-magnetic metals.
The Auto-Learn feature in the CEIA multispectral metal detector provides the equivalent of hundreds of training passes in a traditional method. It explores the entire available frequency band to find the optimal operating conditions, resulting in superior detection performance.
FDA 21 Part 11 compliance
The THS 21 metal detector series is a highly sensitive and precise measuring instrument. Data on each detection and emission is stored in event memory and can be used to prove production quality, inspection performance, programming work, and even regular functional tests with standard test samples.
FDA Code Title 21 Part 11 sets strict standards for programming access and computer data protection, and these standards are fully reflected in the CEIA THS 21 Series firmware.
This fulfills the requirements for security, integrity, and traceability.
Proprietary Auto-Learn system
The THS 21 Series features a unique Auto-Learn system for food products, providing maximum sensitivity for all metals simultaneously with only one learning pass.
The system optimizes detection sensitivity for all metals with the same speed and precision as hundreds of training passes performed with traditional methods, providing a high level of accuracy and efficiency that was previously unattainable.
For products where the product signal changes or fluctuates even after an autorun, the THS 21 Series offers an advanced autorun feature that continues to detect metals during production while simultaneously collecting the product signal in the background. When the recording ends, operators can analyze the data immediately, or after the line stops without interrupting production.
Data added during the background autorun is analyzed alongside existing autorun data, and detection parameters are modified to offset fluctuating product signals.
Real-time embedded self-calibration control
The Self-Calibration control function ensures maximum repeatability and consistent performance over time and environmental changes. It sends specific signals to the metal detector's transmit and receive chains to continuously monitor detection characteristics and continuously compensate for fluctuations caused by environmental factors. The result is system stability, consistency of detection performance, and neutralization of product effects.
Automated validation of installation quality and environmental compliance
The THS 21 Series introduces a new tool for installation and maintenance technicians to measure the environmental suitability of metal detectors.
Metrics include general mechanical-electromagnetic environmental conformance, specific electromagnetic conformance, and an automated check for the degree of metal interference from the conveyor belt.
This is especially important given the high sensitivity levels of the THS 21 metal detector series.

Network communication
The metal detector can be connected to an Ethernet network (optional IXC module required).
When used with THS Production Plus software, it enables remote management of production, full collection of technical and operational events, and generation of statistical and traceability reports that meet FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
BT connectivity features
With the THS/21 Series, connecting a maintenance technician's computer locally no longer requires physical access to the inside of the detector or the use of inconvenient connection cables.
The BT connection can be used for programming, signal monitoring with the CEIA MD-Scope program, and for transferring data stored in the metal detector event memory.

AUTOTEST and AUTO-QC™ test capabilities
Industrial metal detectors for food applications typically have basic diagnostic capabilities based on transmitter/receiver signal monitoring.
However, this type of diagnostics cannot detect aging, thermal drift, and other subtle deviations. These factors can lead to reduced sensitivity, which can lead to undetected metal contamination.
The THS/21 and THS/MS21 Series metal detectors come standard with advanced AUTOTEST capabilities and offer the following features.
In addition to the AUTOTEST function, the THS/21 and THS/MS21 detectors can be programmed to automatically perform periodic verification of the calibration status. This feature is called AUTO-QC™ TEST.
