Separation of elastomers from plastics

The hamos RSS elastomer separator is used for the dry separation of rubber and other elastomers from plastic regrind. The hamos RSS was developed to produce high-quality plastic regrind such as PP, PS and ABS as a largely rubber-free fraction in a dry process.

In order to achieve optimum separation results with the hamos RSS, the plastic mixtures to be separated must have the following properties:

Dry plastics
Particle size 2 mm to 10 mm
Dedusted material (fine dust should be separated)
Maximum humidity less than 0.5 %
